Sizing Guide
The abellybar team has created this section to help you select the right size of belly bar.
For a belly bar to fit snugly, you should hardly see any of the bar. If you wear a design that is too small it may be uncomfortable, irritate your piercing and cause infection. If your belly bar is too big it may catch on your clothes. It is important then that you choose the correct size.
You need to measure the length of the bar, in millimetres, in a straight line across the inside curve, between (not including) the two end pieces.
On our website the length is referred to as the size and most items have a drop-down box for you to select the size you want. The standard, most common size is 10mm, however, some belly bars are also available in 6mm, 8mm, 12mm and 14mm.
All the belly bars on our website have a standard bar gauge of 1.6mm; this is the part of the belly bar which goes through your piercing.
If you are unsure of your size you can measure a piece of body jewellery that fits you well.
